The short follows a man searching for his missing sister at a remote fire watch tower, who’s drawn into an unsettling walkie-talkie conversation deep in the wilderness — and Richards provides the voice on the other end, building dread purely through sound. She’s joined by Max Ossentjuk and Tim Daly (Wings), with Cameron N. Clauson writing, directing, and producing through Pollinator Pictures.
It’s a small, deliberate way back into acting — one that lines up with why she left. All proceeds from 25 Miles Out are being donated to the World Wildlife Fund. It’s also a reminder that the Jurassic Park family keeps circling back to each other — the franchise itself is doing the same, with Jurassic World Rebirth keeping the series’ next chapter in the conversation.
