In line with nostalgia theme of the series, Game designer Jacob Janerka has paid homage to Netflix’s Stranger Things by creating this really awesome point-and-click adventure game art.

In the animated GIFs of the game, artist Janerka’s latest mock-up shows characters Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) in Byers’ living room strewn with Christmas lights and a cursor able to scroll over items in the room. This is all in line with the retro games of the 80s click-and-point genre.
Unfortunately, there are no plans to make this into a full game; it’s just a fun side project.
Netflix’s Stranger Things is set in Hawkins Indiana in the 1980’s and chronicles the search for a young boy who vanishes into thin air under highly suspicious circumstances. His mother (Winona Ryder) opens an investigation into the boy’s disappearance with local authorities that unravels a series of mysteries involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl. A love letter to the ubiquitous cult classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is a coming of age story for three boys that draws this quaint community into a world where mysteries lurk beneath the surface.’
I completely love this series. First episode already reeled me in, and then I just binge-watched all of them lol
