Having officially announced their latest flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S8, there has been great excitement surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S series this past week. From the modest 4″ screen with its 800x480px resolution of the original Galaxy S to the S8’s 5.8″ Infinity Display, there has now been eight iterations of the Galaxy S, one of the most popular smartphones of our generation.

I won’t go as far as to say I’m a fanboy of the model, but I’ve had my fair share of Galaxy devices over the years, which includes the first five Galaxy S units before switching to the Note in 2015. The Samsung Galaxy S8 definitely is one of the top five smartphones to feature on that list.
