Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, has been a big win with fans. The highly anticipated PS5 game is arguably the best the industry has to offer, and it’s easy to see why. In a stroke of genius, Insomniac Games is giving you the ability to seamlessly switch between two beloved characters, Peter Parker and Miles Morales. It makes for fascinating gaming and keeps you hooked with its refreshing new take on the gaming experience. Alas, one flaw has become apparent, and fans have not been shy to voice their opinions on it. Fans and gamers have been hating on the superhero suit / costume worn by Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Our beloved Miles has many popular and well-loved suits in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. He has the Forever Suit, which pays tribute to Black Panther and the late Chadwick Boseman; the Programmable Matter Suit, which is similar to Peter Parker’s Iron Spider suit; or the S.T.R.I.K.E Suit, which was inspired by the Double Riders, to mention but a few. The suit in question, known as the Evolved Suit, is unlike anything fans are familiar with, and it seems it may have evolved a tad too much.
The most unusual aspect is that the very top of the suit, usually covering the top of the head, is cut off, allowing our characters’ hair to pop out at the top. How does this make any sense? It was a bold choice, and evidently, they went too far in their attempt to freshen things up. He’s sporting a cool pair of Adidas sneakers with colours which match the suit but with too much white; it’s also just not working.

Not only do these aspects of the suit look strange, but they’re just not practical. Our hero’s hair is easily recognizable and completely defeats the purpose of having a secret identity. He won’t be web-slinging in secret for much longer if he dons this outfit.

Hate is a strong word, but it seems accurate in this instance, as many fans voiced their frustrations with the suit online. Like mastadonson on Reddit said, “Normal mask, no shoes, better colors and hood up. Basically change everything, the spider logo is the only element I like here.”

Harsh, but it doesn’t end there. Domdumo had this to say, “Those shoes and the big blue lines on his legs and his hair coming out ruin it, Miles neeeds to get bullied at a normal school this what happens when your kid goes to Brooklyn visions.”
On the positive side, both our heroes have a wide range of incredible suits to choose from (34 suits in the base game and an extra five suits available in the deluxe version), so you, as the player, don’t ever need to choose the failed Evolved Suit while getting your game on.
