Van Damme wished Seagal a happy birthday last April 10 in an Instagram post that shows the two action icons together. Immediately, fans began commenting on the heartwarming reunion. Some users even joked that the encounter must have been an AI-generated fake video, considering how legendary the feud between the two stars is.
But no, this reunion appears to be the real deal. Perhaps more interesting than the two actors putting their differences aside is the second part of the Instagram post, where Van Damme promises a “Big announcement” coming soon. This would be monumental for ‘90s action fans, as it could be the first time the two share the screen.
Seeing these two heavyweights finally make amends feels like witnessing the unexpected final act of an Expendables movie. Whether they’re planning a joint film project, a documentary, or something entirely different, this peace treaty stands out as one of the best (and most unexpected) pieces of news of 2025.
