Death doesn’t take a holiday—especially not in Final Destination: Bloodlines, the latest entry in Warner Bros.’ gloriously gruesome horror franchise. If you’ve been craving creative chaos and a solid dose of “what could possibly go wrong?”—good news: you don’t have to wait until May 14. Ster-Kinekor is offering early paid IMAX sneak previews of Final Destination: Bloodlines on May 9 and 10. So yes, you can die inside before everyone else. Grab your tickets here.
So, what’s the hook this time? A college student named Stefanie (played by Kaitlyn Santa Juana) keeps having violent premonitions that suggest something very bad is headed her family’s way. Naturally, she heads home to investigate—because therapy or ignoring the signs just wouldn’t make for a 90-minute horror movie. The twist? Final Destination: Bloodlines isn’t just another spin on the “you can’t cheat Death” routine—it’s a prequel, setting up the cursed dominoes that kicked off this entire deathtrap saga.

Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, and penned by Scream’s Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, Final Destination: Bloodlines also has some serious horror pedigree behind the scenes. The story comes from Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts, who clearly swapped web-slinging for limb-flinging. The cast includes Teo Briones (Ratched), Richard Harmon (The 100), Anna Lore (Doom Patrol), Owen Patrick Joyner (Julie and the Phantoms), Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), and Rya Kihlstedt (Obi-Wan Kenobi). Basically, it’s a bunch of attractive young people being lined up like horror movie bowling pins.
And yes—Tony Todd is back. The late, great legend of the genre (Candyman) appears once again, reminding us all why his voice alone could make you sleep with the lights on. Sadly, this marks one of his final film appearances after his passing in November 2024.

We don’t watch Final Destination movies for deep character development or Oscar-worthy monologues. We show up for the spectacle, the suspense, and the sheer absurdity of Death finding new and elaborate ways to drop the hammer. If you’ve ever side-eyed a loose plank or looked twice at a nail gun, you know what we mean.
So, are you ready to tempt fate a little early? Death’s schedule just opened up. Catch the early screenings of Final Destination: Bloodlines at IMAX this week.
