ASUS South Africa has announced a new competition in which it is seeking the country’s top creative talent. The ASUS VivoTalent competition aims to kickstart the winner’s career and the team is calling all types of creatives to respond to the challenge.
ASUS Systems Country Marketing Manager, Juan Mouton, had this to say about the competition:
“We don’t care if you are keen to do an Ariana cover, drop your own original track, do a standup routine or if you want to show us an interpretive dance take on ‘War and Peace’. As long as you are original, so we don’t want to see TikTok videos or Reels being used, we want you to start from scratch, tell us a story and show us your talent.”
The prize for winning the competition is a cool R100,000 in cash. In addition to this, it also includes some epic prizes alongside the amount.
In order to enter the competition, entrants have to create a 90 to a 180-second video covering their creative talents.
ASUS South Africa has launched the competition this week, to run over the next few weeks until May 2021. Entrants are welcome from across the country across all talent and content creator categories.
In order to judge the list of entries, ASUS has assembled a panel of judges and mentors to help guide each of the participants. This panel includes Siv Ngesi, Rob Forbes and Shamilla Miller. The trio will not only review the entries, but will also share their hard-earned experience with the contestants in order to guide them to being better artists and creators.
The competition will conclude by means of a live stream show where the judges will review their list of favourite videos from the campaign. The show will include discussions about each video’s creative merits with the conclusion and agreement on the final winner.
To submit your entry to the ASUS VivoTalent Competition, you’ll need to upload your creative video to Facebook or Instagram. The post is required to contain the #VivoTalent hashtag and tag ASUS South Africa into the post.
