At an event in Sandton City, ASUS South Africa hosted media and partners to the launch of their latest range of ASUS laptops in the country. Starting the year off with quite a bang, the company launched more than 10 different ASUS laptops across a few different categories, from business to gaming and everything in between. The launch also showcased some fashion designers’ work, having been commissioned to design laptop bags to tie in with the event. ASUS designed these laptops as a part of your everyday life and part of your look, as opposed to another device simply lugged around from place to place.

South Africa remains a stronghold for the ASUS brand, with the ROG range of laptops the number one sold gaming laptop in the region. ASUS also introduced their TUF Gaming range in this sector for the ultimate portable gaming. The gaming range features Nvidia’s latest RTX graphics cards and 8th-generation Intel® Core™ CPUs.

One of the more standout units launched on the day was the new ZenBook Pro 14 UX480, which includes a new ScreenPad. The ScreenPad doubles as a trackpad as well as a high-resolution touchscreen from which apps can be loaded and run, as well as provide numerous shortcuts and benefits such as a digital signature. The range also includes the ZenBook 13, 14 and 15 units, which boast a 95% screen-to-body ratio. The NanoEdge display provides the maximum viewing while keeping the overall build compact, giving it the smallest footprint in its class.
