Over the last few weeks, we’ve heard a lot of rumours about an extended cut of Avengers: Infinity War that stretches to 3 hours. Unfortunately, as Disney and Marvel revealed today, that isn’t true. Instead of the 30-minutes of extended scenes promised, there will only be 10, which includes four new scenes.
Avengers: Infinity War arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on August 14. With it comes four new never been seen before scenes. This includes ‘Happy Knows Best’, a deleted scene that shows Tony Stark and Pepper Potts arguing about their wedding nuptials. The second deleted scene is called ‘Hunt for the Mind Stone’. Here we see Wanda Maximoff and a wounded Vision attempting to hide from Thanos’ minions. The third is cleverly titled ‘The Guardians Get Their Groove Back’ and shows the gang hanging out. It also has a brief sparring match between Drax and Peter. The final deleted scene will show us a little bit more of Thanos and Gamora’s complicated father-daughter relationship.
Sadly, although fans might have expected a little more, that’s all we’re getting for now. That and a gag reel. Regardless, it’s hard to deny that this isn’t a difficult sell to Marvel fans. The film itself is worth owning on any medium.
