After months and months of waiting, leaks and teasers, the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is finally here and it has all your favourite Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes fighting side-by-side.

The Avengers: Infinity War trailer starts off by showing all our favourite Marvel characters in various environments. Tony Stark looks devastated by someone’s death. Spider-Man’s spider senses are tingling. There is a lot of destruction. Captain America steps out from hiding. And Thano causes all sorts of havoc, punishing Spider-Man (in his shiny new suit) and taking the stone from Vision’s head.

It all looks great. Except there might be one small problem: the CGI. While there are still a few months left until Avengers: Infinity War releases, some of the CGI here, particularly the work done on Thanos, is subpar. That said, it can all be fixed.

“There was an idea…”

“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from theatres to large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artefacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.”

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on May 4, 2018.
