Zazie Beetz Officially Cast As Domino In Deadpool 2

Following rumours that Janelle Monae and Kerry Washington were up for the role of Domino in Deadpool 2, Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to confirm that Zazie Beetz will play the character instead.

Zazie Beetz, who is known for role as Vanessa on the Atlanta TV series, will play Domino (aka Neena Thurman), a mutant with the ability to subliminally and psionically initiate random telekinetic acts that affect probability in her favour. Domino is extensively trained in armed combat, as well as in covert operations. She is a superb markswoman and is adept in the use of explosives.

Beetz beat out five other actresses who were also reportedly up for the role, including Lizzy Caplan, Sienna Miller, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Deadpool 2 is currently in pre-production. Reynolds will return as Deadpool, with David Leitch directing.
