With the release of Spyro the Dragon: Reignited trilogy just a few weeks away, and fans excited to experience one of their childhood gaming heroes on current gen consoles, Activision has revealed the Spyro the Dragon drone.
Now, this isn’t just any old Spyro drone, this aerial vehicle breathes fire and can actually talk. Basically, it’s a purple and yellow flying flamethrower.
As you can probably guess, the Spyro drone can’t cover fast distances, due to its size and onboard arsenal.
So, why did Activision commision such a drone? Well, to personally deliver a copy of Spyro the Dragon: Reignited trilogy to one of the game’s biggest fans, Mr Snoop Dogg.
We are likely to see more of these videos as the drone slowly, and hopefully safely, makes it’s way to Snoop Dogg. Spyro will also be stopping at various locations that resemble some of the levels in the game such as a castle that resembles the game’s Stone Hill area. I have to say that while it is a completely bonkers publicity stunt (in my opinion), the drone is actually freaking awesome.
The game combines remastered versions of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Way of the Dragon into one shiny and hopefully fun package.
