Microsoft has finally revealed when their powerful Xbox One X will be heading to South African shores and, more importantly, what it will cost.
Microsoft announced at rAge 2017 that the Xbox One X would be available in South Africa in early December. What came as a huge surprise was that the console would have a limited pre-order price of R7499.
That’s a darn good deal, especially when considering that it is the most powerful console out there and will run games in true 4K.
Colin Baumgart, Consumer and Device Sales Director at Microsoft South Africa explained how excited the Microsoft team is about bringing the Xbox One X to South Africa:
“We are excited to give South African gamers a chance to experience true 4K gaming, enabling environments and characters to become more realistic than ever, with more detail and smoother animations in games.”
Those visiting rAge 2017 over the weekend will be able to see the powerful little box in action with Forza 7, Assassin’s Creed Origins and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.
Microsoft confirmed that a pre-order date for the Xbox One X would be announced in the coming weeks.
Microsoft has definitely made the right decision by pricing the Xbox One X so competitively. Having experienced the console’s 4K visuals first hand I can confirm that they look gorgeous. The question is, whether the increased power and 4K visuals are worth getting an Xbox One X for? What do you think?
