It seems that the Xbox One X is giving the PlayStation 4 Pro a run for its money after a recent report revealed that it sold more units in its first week than the PS4 Pro did in the UK.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, the Xbox One X has sold over 80,000 units within the first couple of days since its launch in the UK. The report also reveals that the PlayStation 4 Pro only sold around 50,000 units when it was released and only passed the 80,000 mark after a month.
Now, it’s important to keep in mind that these sales are usually constrained by the amount of stock that is available for each console at launch, which affected both the PlayStation 4 Pro and Nintendo Switch at launch. Although, even when keeping this in mind, it appears that Microsoft has a winner on their hands.
Xbox exec Aaron Greenberg thanked everyone for their support in a Tweet in which he linked to the GamesIndustry.biz report.
Huge thanks to everyone for their support of @Xbox One X. Great initial results not just in UK, but seeing similar results across Europe. NA #s much bigger, amazing first week! https://t.co/UOStTyLqhY

It seems that the reaction to Microsoft’s powerhouse is far more positive than it was when Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro released. So, will you be getting an Xbox One X or will you be sticking to your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One?
