With Sony deciding not to attend E3 this year, all eyes are on Xbox to see what they have in store for gamers in 2019.
According to Executive Vice President of Gaming at Microsoft, Phil Spencer Xbox will be at E3 2019 in full force. In a recent interview with Xbox’s Larry Hryb (Major Nelson), Spencer commented on their plans for E3, revealing that they had to decide to either go big or go home. Xbox has decided to go big with Spencer stating that the conference will focus on the broader scope of what it means to be an Xbox fan.
“The content that we’ll have will be great and we’ll talk about our future. We’ll talk more about what the Xbox brand means to us… We have millions of Xbox customers… we see them on a phone or another device… We want to make that possible.”
Spencer also spoke about some announced games, confirming that Playground Games and Rare were working on new projects. He didn’t reveal much more about these games but, hopefully, we’ll find out more at E3.
It’s great to see Microsoft seeing Sony’s absence as an opportunity for them to connect with more fans and show the world what they have in store over the next few years. Of course, fans are hoping that Microsoft finally reveals their next-generation Xbox console.
What would you like to see Microsft reveal? Do you think we’ll see a new console announced during their E3 conference?
