“This all started when the Joker and I broke up,” Harley Quinn offers up in the footage from the Birds of Prey trailer. “It was completely mutual.”
Of course it was.
We then see a ton of explosions and gunfights as Quinzel cleans up the town. Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) looks fun. Incredibly so.
If you’re looking for a fun night out at the movies, look no further. And here’s your chance to see it before everyone else, at Nu Metro’s highly impressive 4DX no less.
You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.
Liberated from her toxic relationship with the Joker, Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn has a new look in the upcoming female-driven superhero film, Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), and it includes a pet hyena. Fan response to the first trailers has been overwhelmingly positive, with many excited about the use of colour, humour and R-rated action sequences.
Directed by Cathy Yan, the film stars Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina and Ewan McGregor.

What is 4DX?
4DX is the most innovative cinema experience available, exclusive to Nu Metro in South Africa. Nu Metro has already expanded to 6 of these multi-sensory cinemas across the country.
The on-screen action is amplified in 4DX with advanced motion seats and ambient effects – including wind, water spray, air shots, fog, lightning and lots more.
Most of the world’s leading filmmakers and the major film studios now work in conjunction with 4DX to convert movies to this format, in sync with the film’s action and general ambience. Nu Metro is the first to show South Africans all the latest blockbusters in this revolutionary new format.
To stand a chance of winning double tickets to the special screening, all you need to do is tell us at which 4DX venue you’d like to attend (in the comments section below).
