To compile the list, Party Casino – with the help of data from IMDB, Fandango, and Business Insider – examined the movie projects that Hollywood’s top stars have been involved with.
Cage claims the No. 1 spot, just edging out Samuel L. Jackson with two movies.
The math takes into account the number of film appearances an actor/actress has made since 2015. This includes the small number of movies that were released in 2020 (before the coronavirus pandemic).
Every appearance in a film qualifies – including cameo roles, short films and documentaries in which a person received an acting, writing, or directing credit. However, television projects are excluded from the total, which means some of the actors/actresses have been even busier than the research suggests.
Nicolas Cage has starred in an impressive 27 movies since 2015.
This includes The Runner and Pay the Ghost in 2015. And Mandy, Looking Glass, 211, Teen Titans Go! to the Movies, Between Worlds and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018. Last year the actor appeared in Primal and Grand Isle. Cage also received rave reviews earlier this year for his work on Richard Stanley’s, Color Out of Space.
Margot Robbie topped the actress list, edging out Nicole Kidman with three more projects. Robbie boasts a total of 15 movie appearances, two cameos, a short film and a producer credit. This includes her work on The Wolf of Wall Street, Suicide Squad and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and this year’s Birds of Prey.
