In April of 2021, a Bloomberg report by Jason Schreier revealed that a sequel to the game had been pitched, but Sony had rejected Days Gone 2, despite it having been a profitable game.
Everyone who has played the game might tell you that it’s one of the most entertaining zombie survival sims available on the PS4, and yet the development of Days Gone 2 was never greenlit by Sony.
In a recent interview, Days Gone director Jeff Ross shared his vision of what a sequel would have looked like... and it sounded good.
"It’s gonna have all the things that they probably wanted to do in the first game but just ran out of time." -
While it definitely isn’t Days Gone 2, there has been talk about the game getting its own film adaptation.
