Cable is set to debut on the big screen in Deadpool 2. For those who can’t wait, check out this really cool fan film created by K&K Productions, Cable: Chronicles Of Hope.

According to the filmmakers, the story is based on the hugely popular set of X-Men graphic novels that tell the story of a young girl named Hope, who is heralded as the mutant Messiah. Every mutant hating faction is out to kill her and she only has one protector: the badass, mutant soldier from the future, Nathan Summers! “We love this story and we love action,” said the film’s creators. “So expect hand-to-hand combat, mutant powers, big guns and kicking some serious ass!”

It goes without saying that Chronicles of Hope is not affiliated with 20th Century Fox or Marvel Entertainment.

You can watch the behind the scenes here:

Cable (Nathan Summers) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with X-Force and the X-Men. Nathan Summers is the adult son of the X-Man Cyclops (Scott Summers) and Madelyne Pryor (Jean Grey’s clone), and the half-brother of Rachel Summers, from a possible future timeline, having been transported as an infant to the future, where he grew into a warrior, before returning to the present. The character first appeared as a newborn infant in Uncanny X-Men #201 (Jan. 1986), created by writer Chris Claremont, while Cable’s adult identity was created by writer Louise Simonson and artist/co-writer Rob Liefeld, and first appeared in The New Mutants #87 (March 1990).
