Rockstar has released the first gameplay trailer for their highly anticipated upcoming open-world game Red Dead Redemption 2. The trailer gives us a look at the game’s gorgeous visuals, immersive world and a slice of the narrative.

In Red Dead Redemption 2, player’s take on the role of Arthur Morgan, the leader of a group of outlaws. Arthur and his gang are being hunted down by the feds and need to cross 1899 America in hopes of losing their pursuers.

Naturally, as a gang, you will be participating in quite a few robberies and basically being a typical outlaw and doing outlaw things. You will also be tasked with ensuring that your gang and their camp has enough food and supplies to keep morale high. Part of being a leader is getting to know your fellow outlaws, Rockstar says that you will be able to talk to any member of the gang at any time and even complete various missions for them. The developer has put in a lot of time and effort to make the world seem real and for it to be more immersive than any other of their previous games. With this in mind, horses will now also have more of a personality with different ones having different likes and likes such as varying temperatures. Of course, as you continue through the game you will build a bond with your horse which in turn will give it better stats. Weapons have also received an upgrade making them feel and come across more realistic.

Red Dead Redemption 2

As expected, the game is looking really gorgeous and is just as ambitious as we had hoped. We can’t wait to don our ten-gallon hat and grab our six-shooters when Red Dead Redemption 2 finally releases in October 2018 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
