Even though we all knew it would happen sooner or later, we were all surprised when Shigeru Miyamoto himself announced that Mario would be coming to mobile devices in the form of Super Mario Run.
Super Mario Run is an endless runner starring everyone’s favorite plumber, Mario. Nintendo announced that the game will be releasing with a set price rather than being free-to-play. Although it was announced that a portion of the game will be free, which means you will need to pay to unlock the rest. Players play the game by tapping on the screen to make Mario jump (similar to the Rayman mobile games). I for one am glad to see Nintendo expanding onto other devices, who wouldn’t want to play a Mario game on their phone or tablet?
