The original Watch Dogs might not have lived up to everyone’s expectations but it was still a mostly fun game that featured some interesting hacking mechanics. And now it is free for a limited time.
Ubisoft has announced that the original Watch Dogs will be available for free on PC from the 7th of November to the 13th of November 2017. If you skipped out on the first game or just want to get a free game (and, to be honest, who doesn’t?) then all you need to do is sign up for Ubisoft’s Uplay Service. It’s as easy as that.
Uplay is Ubisoft’s proprietary game client which allows users to purchase and play digital versions of Ubisoft games. Those that are already signed up for this service just need to log in and add the game to their library.
The game originally released way back in 2014 and sees the game’s protagonist Aiden Pearce taking on “the man” and hacking everything in sight. While Watch Dogs might have underperformed, with many either hating or loving it, the game did introduce some unique gameplay mechanics.
