Since the first Assassin’s Creed, towers have become an integral part of most Ubisoft games. Games that included this feature ranged from Far Cry to the original Watch Dogs. Well, it seems this feature might become extinct.
It was confirmed to Eurogamer, by creative director Jonathan Morin, that Watch Dogs 2 would be breaking the Ubisoft mold with regards to map-unlocking towers.
“It’s not a game where you open your map and everything’s there. There are no towers. You just explore the world.” Morin stated.
Players will be able to unlock more activities by recruiting followers to join DedSec, completing missions or just roaming the vast open city. This will give players a degree of freedom in how they complete missions and travel the city that they did not have in the original game.
Morin also confirmed that players will be able to complete all of the co-op missions solo, although he did mention that it would be quite difficult.
A lot of skeptics have been surprised by Watch Dogs 2 at E3 2016, and we can’t help but get excited by all the changes and improvements Ubisoft is bringing to the Franchise.
