2K and Firaxis have released a new trailer for Civilization VI that gives us more insight into the Egyptian civilization
The new Civilization VI trailer gives us a look at the Egyptian empire lead by intelligent and manipulative ruler Cleopatra who ruled Egypt from a very young age.
The Egyptian empire has the Maryannu Chariot Archer as it’s unique units. These units were deadly on the battlefield as their stable base offered their archers a solid platform from which to launch volleys of arrows. The drawback of this two-man chariot was that it didn’t fair well on rough terrain. Even with this drawback, these chariots formed the backbone of the Pharaoh’s army. Along with the chariots, the Egyptian empire also has the Sphinx as their unique improvement. This mythical creature is a combination of a human body with a lion’s head. The Pharaoh’s viewed the Sphinx as a symbol of strength, wisdom and eternity. Statues of these mythical beasts can be found al over the Egyptian empire.
Civilization VI launches in October 2016 on PC with both Mac and Linux versions planned.
