Activision has released a new video for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that explains how the new weapon crafting system will work.
The previous Call of Duty games had players unlocking weapons by leveling up. Although this is still the case in Infinite Warfare, they now also unlock prototypes of the weapons that they brought into battle. These prototypes come in Common, Rare, Legendary, and Epic variations, and each of these has their own perks.
Players will also be able to craft prototypes using salvage which they will be able to earn in various ways. The new crafting system will allow players to craft weapons that complement the way they play.
The game is set for release in November 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
