Sega has announced that the spin-off game to the critically acclaimed Valkyria Chronicles, titled Valkyria Revolution, would be heading to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One in June 2017.
The game takes place in a different timeline, continent and universe than Valkyria Chronicles. Instead of being influenced by the World War II, Revolution is inspired by the European industrial revolution. The game focuses on the war of liberation between two new and vastly different nations. Although combat will be just as strategic as it was in Chronicles it is now a lot more fast-paced combining turn-based and real-time combat into a hybrid system.
I personally loved the original game’s combat and might be a tad concerned that they are changing it. Hopefully, the new mechanics improve the already fun combat system.
