Developer No Code and Devolver Digital has released a trailer for their upcoming narrative thriller Stories Untold.

Developed by Glaswegian studio No Code, it’s very clear that Stories Untold takes place in the 80’s, thanks to the inclusion of an old CRT screen in the trailer. There is even an 80’s inspired poster created for the game by Kyle Lambert who also did the artwork for… Well, there’s no denying the game is inspired by a certain Netflix series set in the 80s’ (cough*… Stranger Things). The music, the style and the title sequences all point to it.

The game is a compilation of four episodes from the cancelled series and includes the original pilot episode titles, “The House Abandon”, a horror text adventure. The press release read ‘Stories Untold will make you sh*t your pants’. Not much has been revealed beyond this, but we are a little intrigued by this mysterious retro game. Hopefully, it doesn’t play out like a complete knock off.

So dim the lights, grab a coffee and bring along an extra pair of undies. Things are about to get strange. Stories Untold will launch via Steam on 27th February, priced £3.99 ($4.99 or €4.99).

Seriously? What a rip-off presentation of Stranger Things. I wouldn’t buy or play because it’s such an obvious steal.
