Lakeshore Entertainment and Screen Gem’s Underworld will return Kate Beckinsale and Theo James to the world of war between werewolves and vampires. Now it’s been revealed that the latest chapter in the Underworld saga will be titled Underworld Blood Wars.
Reprising her role as Selene, Beckinsale plays a soldier of the Vampire Clan who falls in love with Michael, a hybrid.
Underworld: Blood Wars, which filmed last year in Prague, also sees the return of Charles Dance as the vampire elder Thomas, as does Theo James as Thomas’ son and Selene’s ally, David. New cast members include Outlander’s Tobias Menzies as “a formidable new Lycan leader,” and Sherlock’s Lara Pulver as “a fiercely ambitious vampire,” along with James Faulkner (another Game of Thrones actor), Peter Andersson (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Bradley James (A&E’s Damiens eries), Daisy Head (Fallen), and newcomer actress Clementine Nicholson.
Arriving just in time for Halloween (October 14th), Underworld Blood Wars is directed by Anna Foerster, who previously directed episodes of both Criminal Minds and Outlander.
