Even though the casting was announced a while ago, it’s still hard to believe that Spider-Man actor Tom Holland is playing Nathan Drake in an Uncharted feature film based on Naughty Dog’s critically-acclaimed video game.
Well, the 24-year-old actor has taken to Twitter to share a first-look image of himself as the younger treasure-hunting explorer. And while many might have prefered Nathan Fillion as the Uncharted protagonist, Holland doesn’t look half bad.

Even though the pandemic altered some of the plans for the shoot, it seems like the Uncharted film – which is believed to be a prequel to the iconic gaming franchise – is finally in full swing after years of delays.
Alongside the Marvel star, Mark Wahlberg will be playing a somewhat younger Victor “Sully” Sullivan, Nate’s father figure and mentor.

Earlier today, Nolan North, who voiced Nathan Drake in all the games, shared a few images on Twitter, including one of him and Holland on set chatting – most probably providing advise on the character.
The Uncharted series follows the eponymous hero, treasure hunter Nathan Drake as he makes his way around the world, uncovering historical mysteries. The games feature stunning locations, excellent characters, and a well thought out narrative.
Like looking into a mirror! Proud to have @TomHolland1996 continuing the Drake legacy! Absolutely smashing it!
