When the French video game company first announced their Ubisoft Forward steam, fans knew they were in for a treat and luckily the publisher did not disappoint.

Watch Dogs: Legion Ubisoft Forward

From Vikings to Urban hackers, Ubisoft pulled out all the stops during the stream – officially announcing Far Cry 6, showing off more of both Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion and even announcing a few surprises.

Here are some of the exciting announcements made during the Ubisoft Forward stream.

Watch Dogs Legion Gameplay

During thw Ubisoft Forward stream, the gaming publisher showed off some more gameplay from the next instalment in the Watch Dogs franchise, Watch Dogs Legion.

With players being able to recruit any character in the game, the gameplay trailer focused on showing us some more of the unique abilities your newly recruited allies will have access to, as well as revealing how missions can be completed in various ways.

It seems that the game won’t be afraid to steer into political waters either. Watch Dogs Legion takes place in a high-tech dystopian version of London.

The game is set to release on the 29th of October 2020 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and PC, with those who buy next-gen consoles receiving a free upgrade if they already own the game on current-gen consoles.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gameplay

One of the games fans could not wait to see more of at Ubisoft Forward was the upcoming Assasin’s Creed Valhalla.

Ubisoft released a new gameplay trailer which gives players an overview of what to expect when the game releases the 17th of November.

The trailer revealed some combat mechanics and environments.

Combat, as you would expect, seems brutal, with players being able to sneak around or go in swords swinging.

The game looks to be more of the same gameplay that fans of the series love, although even more refined.

As with Watch Dogs Legions, those who buy the game on current-gen systems will get a free upgrade when they purchase the next-gen consoles.

Far Cry 6 Announced

The existence of Far Cry 6 might have leaked a few days ago, but Ubisoft has now officially revealed the game.

Set on the Cuban inspired iland of Yara, players will take on the game’s main antagonist Anton Castillo (voiced by Giancarlo Esposito), who is the corrupt president of the island.

The game takes place during a time of great turmoil on the island. As protagonist Dani Rojas, you will team up with a guerilla faction who will help you finally rid the idland of its corrupt end vicious leader.

Described as having the most ambitious open-world yet in a Far Cry game, Far Cry 6 is set to release on the 18th of February.

Hyper Scape Goes Into Beta

Ubisoft revealed that their upcoming battle royale sci-fi shooter, Hyper Scape, is going into beta as of today, the 12th of July.

The beta will be open to all PC players and can be downloaded from the Ubisoft’s Uplay store for free.

The publisher also revealed a new in-game weapon called the Harpy, an SMG that is perfect for close-quarters combat, and a brand new hack called Shockwave, which, as you can guess, launches a blast that can knock foes away.

Ubisoft has not yet revealed a release date for Hyper Scape.

Are you happy with the announcements made at Ubisoft Forward or were you expecting more big reveals?
