With the release of the highly anticipated next entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, just around the corner, Ubisoft has revealed their plans for the game’s post-launch content.
Ubisoft has announced quite a slew of planned post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, both free and paid. Those that purchase the Season Pass will get an HD remastered version of Assassin’s Creed III. And while there is no news whether this game will be available for purchase separate from the Season Pass, we fully expect to see it become available sooner or later. The HD remaster will include all the previously released DLC as well as a remastered version of Assassin’s Creed Liberation. Along with the HD remastered games, Season Pass holders will also get access to two new story arcs for Odyssey, each consisting of three chapters.
The first of these arcs, titled Legacy of the Frist Blade, will focus on the first Assassin in history to wield the iconic hidden blade, and we’ll learn more about the Assassins and their shadowy history. It is set for release from December with each chapter releasing around six weeks apart.
The second arc is titled The Fate of Atlantis. In it, we’ll get to face off against all manner of godly creatures as we uncover the secrets of the sunken city. There will be a lot of focus placed on Greek Mythology which has us extremely excited. Release for this arc is planned for Spring 2019.
Ubisoft is also planning to release a whole bunch of free post-launch content including new story content and in-game events.
It’s great to see Ubisoft already committing to supporting the game even after launch. There has been a lot of hype surrounding this game. Luckily, we don’t have to wait long to find out if it is worthy of all the hype as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is scheduled to release on the 5th of October 2018.
