So, you’ve just unboxed your new copy of the latest Forza Horizon and you realise you don’t have an Xbox steering wheel. What do you do?
Well, Thingiverse contributor Pixel2 has you covered with this 3D printable mini Xbox steering wheel attachment for your standard Xbox controller. We all know that using your controller for playing racing games can sometimes seem a bit daunting, but thanks to Pixel2 you can 3D print your own cute little steering wheel that attaches right onto your Xbox controller. It might not be the perfect solution but it at least saves those who find themselves a bit cash-strapped (like myself) a few bucks. The device works by clipping unto your controller and then using a gear system (and what we think might be magic) to move your left thumbstick. Now, it’s important to note a few things before you go out printing one of these. First, the device is only for the Xbox controller (sorry, PlayStation owners). Second, the device does obscure some of the buttons usually reserved for shifting gears in driving games. But other than that, it’s quite an inventive solution to a gaming-related problem most of us have faced. Also, it’s quite mesmerising seeing it in action for the first time.
