We’ve all been there, running around the house with a towel around our neck imagining we were Thor. Or maybe you were donning a cardboard box and pretending to be Iron Man facing off against the minions of Thanos. It’s all part of growing up. Now Marvel, in collaboration with Ackermans, are giving young up-and-coming superheroes the opportunity to train just like their comic book and big screen idols as part of their Be Marvel Be More campaign.
The Be Marvel Be More campaign extends to all the amazing retail offerings that Marvel has to offer, including LEGO sets, figurines, and basically everything a young superhero could ask for. As part of the campaign, South African kids will also get the opportunity to train just like their favourite superheroes, thanks to the training camp activations.
The tickets to these activations will be free of charge but will be on a first come first serve basis. In other words, make sure you get the little superheroes there early to avoid disappointment. Learn Marvel superhero moves, earn your Marvel Junior Superhero Membership card and even get to meet the one and only friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, in person.
The Be Marvel Be More training camp activations will be at three shopping centres in South Africa, with tickets being available at Ackermans stores at the respective malls on the day from 9AM. The activations will run from 9:30AM at one-hour intervals until 6PM.
The shopping centres where these activations will take place, as well as the dates, are as follows:
– Tyger Valley Shopping Centre, Cape Town, 12 – 13 April
– Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Durban, 20 – 22 April
– Eastgate Shopping Centre, Johannesburg, 27 – 28 April
Make sure you are there. It promises to be a day your little superheroes won’t soon forget.
