Activision has finally announced something that fans have been asking for, for years. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 will be receiving remasters for current-gen consoles.
The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remasters will include brand new features, such as online play and an in-depth course builder.
As with previous remasters from this generation of consoles, the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 remasters will have shiny new updated visuals with all of the classic and much-loved levels, characters, challenges and tricks making a return.
For those looking to go head-to-head on the couch with their friends, there is some good news as the game’s multiplayer will be both online and local.
One of the elements that made the two games so beloved by fans was their absolutely amazing soundtracks. Activision revealed that the vast majority of the soundtracks will make a return to the remasters.
Vicarious Visions, the team behind the Crash Bandicoot remaster, will be remastering the two games. They have a history with skateboarding games, having worked on the portable versions of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games.
From what the developer described, it seems players will be able to dip in and out of the two titles, unlocking new pieces for the skate park creator as they play.
It seems that Vicarious Visions are hard at work making sure that the games give players the authentic Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater experience.
