Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok Posters Are Ripping Off DC’s Batman v Superman Posters

The Marvel versus DC fight continues with some fans claiming that Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok posters are similar to DC’s Batman v Superman promotional posters.

New posters for Thor: Ragnarok have surfaced online and they look remarkably similar to Batman v Superman‘s. Both films have two superheroes facing off against each other, Hulk vs Thor and Superman against Batman. Each poster is viewed from a character’s perspective and shows the heroes about to clash. It’s understandable that the marketing might be similar, but do these posters resemble each other so much that one could be considered a copy? Fans seem to think so.

Regardless, the tone for the two films can’t be anymore different. Batman v Superman was dark and gritty, while Thor: Ragnarok promises to be a light and bright neon adventure.

Thor: Ragnarok hits theatres on November 3rd, 2017.

Thor: Ragnarok is being directed by Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) and features Marvel veterans Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, Idris Elba as Heimdall and Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk alongside Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Karl Urban as Skurge, Taika Waititi as Korg, Clancy Brown as Surtur, Rachel House as Topaz, and Sam Neill.

MCU & DCEU can both copy each other if it results in a good story. Originality is just undetected plagiarism.

Michael Jackson’s style in showmanship is a byproduct of James Brown and yet we don’t call him out on that.

Nah, DC’s version is them up close. Marvel’s version does have a distance between them ready to battle. That’s the only difference I pick up. But this style of versus poster has been done before years ago.

They’re similar in the fact that they both feature heroes about to fight each other… Besides that, not much to the claim. Movie posters in general rip off other movie posters. There’s very little creativity anymore.

Why are you surprised, DC was 1st comic book company and with Superman who was the 1st hero to be created there journey began, A lot of Marvel characters are rip offs of a DCs characters, Marvel has achieved great success but if it wasn’t for DC would of they achieved that, DC was the 1st to put it’s characters on the big screen to, DC deserves credit not hate from Marvel fans and vice versa because Marvel help keeps these sort of films on the big screen, which in turn keeps the comic book silver screen attention alive.

People are downing them because DC movies tend to be horrible. Rooting for it or against it.. does little to sway anyone else. Don’t give credit where credit isn’t due. Marvel movies are high tier, DC is unplayable. GL, any sups movie, those soap opera flash and fucking arrow shows.

DC is losing because their characters have no substance. No one gives a fuck if sups was first. All DC heroes are either a damn alien (sups, martian, wonder woman technically..If u count Asgard as a retort, lanterns alien power, flash… I guess science, though, hey had to make up a imaginary force to make flash go fast, aquaman a fucking alien from civilization, the dumb hawk bitch, oh they have cyborg right? And Batman…”alienated”. Lol DC sucks

Marvel has cap a druggy army froZen sups strong dude. That actually is possible..just not versed enough to know for how long.

Iron man.. go look military weaponry… I’ll wait.

Oh what about hulk. Gamma radiation, would dissimilate you, instantly. But hey at least he is weird, has a lot of barriers to get over… Not just pieces of planets whenever convient for an enemy that would normally be immediately disposed of to stand a chance… Or basically any power he fucking wants to have to win.

Ice breath, laser eyes, flight, super speed… It’s Bs and un believe able, sups is.. Continuing…

Scarlet witch.. probability control.. now that’s a really unique an uncommon power.

Even black widow.. that tidbit about her being infertile… Yah.. imagine..By an assassin trained in all manners of espionage and hand to hand combat.. all the time. Take a gymnast…. Then take away their life, now replace everything beside Olympic style training, and in their places.. put every style of fighting and more Olympic training .. for what, at the least… 15 years… Ummm yah… She could kill anyone.

Thor is basically a sups clone, without the extra powers..

Hawkeye… Is cool.. and is more like a mirror to bullseye
      Or green arrow clone

Vision.. dope.. and possible.. guaranteed in the next 15 years.
Phasing through would be a miniaturized version of matter fashion.. or molecular fuaion.. a.i. is on its way, androids, check it out.

Bruce Banner / Bruce Wayne. Both named Bruce. Thor / Superman. Both are pretty well Gods. I’d say it’s a bit similar.

Steve Trevor/Steve Rodgers. Both named Steve. Both soldiers. Therefore Wonder Woman rips off The First Avenger. (That was sarcasm. SAnd in case that ruined the rep[ly, you can never be too careful.)
