With a new Call of Duty comes a new multiplayer mode for fans to swoon over, and it seems that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is starting from scratch with its multiplayer offering.
According to developer Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is stripping everything down for its multiplayer and starting over in order to create a fresh new experience for players. Basically, they are trying to reinvent what a Call of Duty multiplayer mode should be.
Even though the developer is trying to keep things fresh, they are still well aware that gameplay is king and that the combat should feel authentic and gritty. Overall, they want to create a more realistic experience where soldiers feel less like superheroes and more like soldiers battling it out in life and death situations.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that the experience shouldn’t be fun as they also want players to enjoy playing with friends (or against them).
The game also introduces a brand new mode called two-on-two Gunfight which, as the name suggests, sees two teams of two taking each other on in deadly combat. If a player dies, they are out and it’s up to their teammate to save the day.
