The LEGO Movie 2 trailer shows us that everything isn’t as awesome as we thought it would be in Bricksburg.
The follow up to the critically acclaimed first film, The LEGO Movie 2 once again follows heroine Lucy (Elizabeth Banks) and happy go lucky Emmet (Chris Pratt) as they eke out a living in the ruins of Bricksburg. We quickly realise that the events of Taco Tuesday left the whole of Brickburg in a post-apocalyptic state, think Mad Max if it had more bricks and minifigs. Good old Emmet continues to believe that everything is awesome even as the town’s citizens struggle to survive their harsh new conditions.
As can be expected, it doesn’t take long for Bricksburg finds itself, once again, being threatened by an unknown force as Lucy and the Master Builders (oh, no Batman!) are kidnapped by a mysterious brightly coloured stranger. It’s up to Emmet to once again save the day or at least die trying.
Judging from the trailer, we are in for another action-packed, humorous and delightfully awesome adventure.
