The release date for Doom Eternal is drawing closer. Bethesda has released a brand new trailer to help get us even more hyped for the game’s release.
Doom Eternal sees you once again taking on the role of the mythical Doomslayer, killer of demons, smasher of skulls and basically launcher of bullets. The new entry in the franchise will delve deeper into the mythos behind the Doomslayer and his origins. Of course, along the way, there will be loads of killing, slaying and blood as players will have to master the intricate ballet of death that the franchise has become known for.
The trailer features all kinds of monstrosities from the depths of hell and, as you can expect, is filled with blood and gore. It also shows off some of the game’s new monster and environments, both elements that form a critical part of a Doom game.
Players will have access to all the usual goodies for slaying demons but this time the game will include a new grappling hook and, even more impressive, some sort of light sabre broadsword. As if the Doomslayer couldn’t get any cooler, now he has a huge light-up sword at his disposal.
Doom Eternal is the sequel to 2016’s critically acclaimed Doom and is releasing on the 20th of March for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. The game will also be releasing on the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
