Time-bending, mind-bending and world-bending are all present in the latest hype-inducing trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Michael Caine, and Kenneth Branagh. If there is one film strong enough to tempt moviegoers to return to the cinema, it’s probably this.
As expected, Tenet‘s actual story is shrouded in mystery. We know there is some form of time-bending element involved, like most of Nolan’s films. It’s a little like Inception, but also not the same thing at all. Here the focus is on certain events that play backwards, in reverse, before they happen.
“Set in “the afterlife” of a world of international espionage, Tenet follows Washington’s operative as he races against the clock to prevent World War III,” a description explains.
When you match that to the amazing visuals shown off in the trailer, this becomes a must-see.
The problem, of course, is that most of the world is still in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Tenet arrives in cinemas on July 17, 2020. Will you be there to see it?
