Following up from Teen Titans: Rebirth, we discover Robin’s plans for the group that he has kidnapped, why has he dragged them into his layer and why he has been keeping a close eye on them all along? We review Teen Titans #1, appropriately subtitled ‘Damian Knows Best’.

Teen Titans #1 Review

The story starts with Batman missing Damian’s birthday due to a call out by the Justice League. Robin has finally become a teenager. He knows who he is and the legacy that awaits him. With only the company of Alfred Pennyworth by his side, he has other plans in mind for his future: to escape the life path laid out for him and to get out of the shadows of the great men in his past.

He also plans to reassemble the Teen Titans and make them the ultimate super team. Of course, the team doesn’t latch onto the idea as quickly. However, with some inspirational words from Robin and after showing them their strength as a team, his plan for the new Teen Titans could become a reality and the fate of their lives hang in the balance. A great evil from Damian’s past is lurking around the corner, ready to strike at the team’s newest leader and destroy the new Teen Titans before they even begin.

As before, Teen Titans #1 has really awesome artwork and never disappoints. The story is gripping and I will definitely be following the Teen Titans comics to see what lies ahead for the team.
