Director Joseph Kahn has revealed that he previously pitched for a Justice League Dark before it became an animated movie and offered a sneak peek of the live-action animation test for Swamp Thing.
Justice League Dark has been in development for years by Guillermo del Toro, and while Warner Bros has now got the DC Extended Universe off the ground, there’s still no news about the franchise’s future. Following the success of The Killing Joke, Warner Bros Animation’s next animated feature film is Justice League Dark. Could they be testing the waters? Have they scrapped the live-action film in favour of an animated feature? The word is still out on the outcome. For now, all we have is 8 seconds of Swamp Thing action – which surprisingly is enough to get you excited for the possible future.
The Justice League Dark are a paranormal-leaning super-team, featuring the likes of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Zatanna, Frankenstein, Deadman, Madame Xanadu, and The Phantom Stranger.
