Netflix’s popular supernatural series, Stranger Things, is getting its very own retro-inspired video game.
The Stranger Things Season 3 video game is being developed by BonusXP and is a co-op beat-em-up that has suitably 16-bit visuals. The game will have a top-down isometric view as players take control of various characters from the series, each with their own special abilities.
There isn’t much known about the game’s actual plot, obviously so as not to spoil anything about the series’ third season, but we can surmise that it might have something to do with the Upside Down.
Of course, this isn’t the first Stranger Things game to be released. The same developer released a game based on the Netflix show for mobile, which was also a retro-inspired game.
There was no official release date announced for the Stranger Things Season 3 video game. However, it would probably be a safe bet to expect it to release closer to the shows third season debut on Netflix, which should be in 2019.
