While many have already started readying their wallets for the next Steam sale, which in recent years has always been kicked off around Halloween, prospective buyers can now plan their spending sprees for the next three sales as dates have been leaked on Reddit, and confirmed by varying sources.
If you’re anything like, and a few million others, you’ll no doubt be preparing your wallets, time schedule and wishlists for the upcoming Steam sale. My wishlists are split into two categories, games I’d like to play, and games with extremely good discounts, which can be used for trading cards in order to replenish my diminishing Steam wallet funds during this time of year. Thankfully, I’ll be a little bit better prepared this time around, with dates for the next three Steam sales have been leaked on Reddit by user, DarkMio. While the original Reddit post has now been flagged for lack of a source, which violates the policies. That said, Kotaku were able to verify the dates by means of confirmation from three developer sources yesterday, 21 October 2017, although unnamed. The dates for the next three Steam sales are as follows:
- Steam Halloween Sale: Thursday, 26 October to Wednesday, 1 November
- Steam Black Friday Sale: Wednesday, 22 November to Tuesday, 28 November
- Steam Winter Sale: Thursday, 21 December to Thursday, 4 January 2018
The sales are fairly close in proximity in terms of timelines, which means many of us will be out of pocket come the festive season. But with so many great games around the corner or just released (Batman: The Enemy Within, The Evil Within 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Gran Turismo Sport), you’ll need to keep a keen eye out for all the sales you can get your hands on over the next two to three months. The leaked Steam sale dates will definitely help your cause.
