Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first Star Wars: Forces of Destiny animated short on the Disney YouTube channel. The 3-minute video titled “Sands of Jakku” features Rey and BB-8 during the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
The first video, which could serve as a deleted scene for Force Awakens, sees BB-8 and Rey (voiced by Daisy Ridley) escape from a giant alien worm. We also get a short intro from Lupita Nyong’o as Maz.
Rey fends off a creature that wants to devour her new friend, BB-8.
