EA has been teasing Star Wars fans by revealing tiny tidbits about the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront 2 for almost a year now. Finally, thanks to a leaked trailer, we are able to see what the game will be about and what unspeakable evils we will be facing in the game’s sequel.
The leaked Star Wars: Battlefront 2 trailer gives us more insight into the single player story campaign. The campaign seems to be centered around a post-Endor Empire. It would appear that players will be taking on the role of a female Imperial officer leading up to the battle of Endor. The trailer does show some quick glimpses of familiar Star Wars characters such as Rey, Kylo Ren, Darth Maul and, of course, Yoda. So, it looks like the game will be taking inspiration from multiple eras from the franchise.
It also reveals that those that pre-order the game will gain access to something called Star Wars: The Last Jedi Heroes. The pre-order content sounds like it is probably tied into the Last Jedi movie which releases this December.
One thing that is missing is a release date, although it can be speculated that the game might launch closer to the film’s release. From what is shown, even if there is no gameplay, it sure looks like EA might have learned from the mistakes of Battlefront.
