The first Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer teaser is here and sees Spidey get a costume upgrade courtesy of Tony Stark. The teaser includes Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan and Tom Holland as Peter Parker
Spider-Man gets a boost from a fellow Avenger in the 15-second teaser. The clip reveals that Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, has given the superhero suit worn by Peter Parker (Tom Holland) a “minor upgrade.” The new costume includes something not yet seen on any cinematic Spider-Man: web wings. When artist John Romita took over the character from co-creator Steve Ditko in the late ’60s, the web wings were gradually discarded. But the latest onscreen Spider-Man seems pretty psyched about them. “This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen!” he says in the teaser.
Homecoming is the second reboot for the character in the past five years. Thankfully, Marvel looks like they know how to please their fans.
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Marvel Studios’ “Captain: Civil War,” begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging superhero in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
“Spider-Man: Homecoming” has a July 7, 2017 release directed by Jon Watts starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr.
