Developer Robot Wizard has announced that their homage to old school point-and-click adventure games, Jengo, has found a publisher.
The South African developed game Jengo will be published by France’s Playdius Entertainment, the publishing wing of Plug In Digital. Francis Ingrand, CEO of Playdius Entertainment, commented on how excited they were to work with the South African developer:
“We are thrilled to work with Robot Wizard. Jengo’s bittersweet humour, wonderful arts and brain-teasing riddles are a bright combination for those craving for a throwback to Point and Click Adventure Games with a modern and appealing coating”
Michael James will also be joining the Robot Wizard team as their new full-time writer. Having a full-time writer aboard will allow the team to spend more time on crafting the characters, their personalities and more importantly finding their voice over artists.
Finding a new developer also means that Robot Wizard will now be able to release Jengo as a full title and not as separate episodes (similar to Telltale Games). The game is set for release in late 2018 and we can’t wait to get our hands on this proudly South African game.
