Beautiful Desolation, the South African developed 2D isometric adventure game, will be releasing on Steam and GOG this month.
The Brotherhood, who also developed the surprise hit Stasis, has announced that Beautiful Desolation would be releasing on the 26th of February 2020. It was originally Kickstarted back in 2017 by more than 4000 backers.
What makes the game so unique and visually striking is that it is set in a post-apocalyptic world that combines Afropunk, retro-futurism and sci-fi, giving players a very unique aesthetic.
Players will get to explore the world as Dr Mark Leslie, who is on a quest to find his brother. Along the way, he will meet both potential enemies and allies, build up his team, solve various puzzles and will need to make some very tough decisions that could affect him and the world around him.
Being inspired by the classic Fallout games, Beautiful Desolation will follow a less traditional linear narrative found in most games in its genre.
Prepare for DESOLATION on the 26th of February.

Mick Gordon, who composed the game’s soundtrack, has made sure that the game not only looks stunning but also sounds amazing. He has worked on some pretty big titles in the past, such as Killer Instinct, DOOM and Need for Speed, with his work on DOOM winning him a Best Music/Sound Design award at The Game Awards 2016.
