Sony has unveiled a new Cloud Remote for the PlayStation 4, developed in partnership with PDP (Performance Designed Products).
We all know the pain of trying to control your media playback using your DualShock controller, it’s a precarious task. Well, thanks to the new PlayStation 4 Cloud Remote those days are soon to be a thing of the past.
The remote is programmable and automatically detects your television set allowing you to turn the volume up or down or changing inputs and generally negating the need for a secondary remote. The remote uses the Cloud Remote App to automatically program it for each device it detects. Users can also program the layout as they see fit using the app. The Remote uses Bluetooth to connect to the various devices.
Although the remote was developed in partnership with PDP, design-wise it resembles many of the official PlayStation devices. It even includes the PlayStation logo and is surprisingly sleek with the buttons placed in such a way that they are easy to access via your thumb.
If you are tired of struggling to control your media playback on the PlayStation 4 this might be the remote for you.
The Cloud Remote will be available from the 1st of September 2018 for around $30.
