FromSoftware has released a new trailer for their highly anticipated upcoming game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
The new Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice trailer gives players a look at the game’s narrative which sees you playing as Shinobi called The Wolf.
Along with some story elements, the trailer also shows off some of the mechanics involved in the game’s combat. The most impressive of these is the prosthetic arm The Wolf wields. It does not only function as a limb but also can be outfitted to perform various other tasks, such as a grappling hook, which allows players to gain height advantage or explore new areas, or the loaded axe, an attachment that can break enemy shields. Each of these attachments is integral to mastering the game’s combat.
The trailer also dives into the game’s posture mechanic, which is new to the series.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is shaping up to be a gorgeous looking game. It should make fans of the Dark Souls and Bloodborne games very happy. It’s a game that builds upon the elements that make FromSoftware games so fun and rewarding.
We can’t wait to finally get our hands on the game, which is set for release on the 22nd of March for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
